The Principal Charity Classic sponsors the Iowa Junior Tour
The Principal Charity Classic will be the title sponsor of the 2010 Iowa Junior Tour. This is a great new partnership with Iowa PGA. This year will be the 13th year the Iowa PGA Junior Tour has continually offered quality tournament opportunities for junior golfers in Iowa and western Illinois. Membership has grown to include over 750 juniors and will consist of over 60 events in 2010 that are held across the section from June through mid-August.

Principal Charity Classic Ranks #1 on Champions Tour
The Champions Tour has selected The Principal Charity Classic as its “Best Event” in 2009. The announcement was recently made by Champions Tour President, Mike Stevens, at the Champions Tour Tournament Association annual awards dinner in San Antonio, Texas.
"To be recognized as the best event on the Champions Tour says a lot about the Des Moines community,” said Larry Zimpleman, chairman, president and chief executive officer, the Principal Financial Group®. “In just three short years, The Principal Charity Classic has distributed nearly $1.7 million to the five “FORE our Kids” charities in Iowa and has attracted record-breaking crowds. The Principal Charity Classic Awarded $500,000 to the "FORE Our Kids" Charities!!
At a time when the need for charitable services is running high, The Principal Charity Classic announced the 2009 tournament raised $500,000 to benefit area children's charities.
The announcement was made at an event held at Glen Oaks Country Club where guests also participated in a chipping challenge for prizes. Thank you for supporting the 2009 Principal Charity Classic and the "FORE Our Kids" Charities!
