(West Des Moines, IA)- The Principal Charity Classic announced today that Iowa PGA Professional Ken Schall will be awarded a sponsor exemption to play in The Principal Charity Classic. Schall turned 50 on April 7th of this year and will make his Champions Tour debut May 26 – 31, 2009 at Glen Oaks Country Club.
“I am absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to play in this year’s Principal Charity Classic, said Ken Schall. “The tournament has such an impact on our community and means so much to Glen Oaks Country Club and me personally.”

He has competed in nine major championships, including two U.S. Opens and seven PGA Championships. Schall was also a regular on the PGA TOUR in 1991. Schall adds, “It has been a few years since I have competed against players of this caliber but will be working hard to hone in on my skills and prepare. To play on my home course in front of my friends, family and club members will make this experience even better.”
